dangeloandsons.com 2 Monica Mitchell-Taylor @2016-02-24 Had a great experience at first with the sales guy Carlos, and understood that installation would take 4-6 weeks from our initial contract signing. We had the roof installed in November - most of the work was done in a day and one guy came to finish up and do the walk around the next day. We were assured that our roof would no longer leak! In December, we noticed shingles hanging off the side and found leaks around the vent pipe and furnace exhaust. We called and got an answering machine. We left messages every week for several weeks into the new year. We got a call in January that someone would come out the next day to look, but no one came (presumably because of bad weather). The outgoing "holiday" message was still there into late January, so we finally called Carlos' cell to see if he could get someone out sooner. When we didn't get a reply, we had another roofer come out to take a look on February 2. The "blow off" shingles were actually shingles that hadn't been trimmed off the edge of the roof. He also found a lot of roofing debris that had been left behind. We're unclear if D'Angelo installed deck armour to our flat roof or not, but that had been nailed in without caulk or washers (Carlos had told us he would have their guys secure the flat roof as part of his estimate). This emercency repair and clean up cost us $1000. We got a call back from Carlos the following week as he had been on vacation, and he assured us he would send someone out to address the leaks that were part of D'Angelo's initial work order. We got an unannounced visit from D'Angelo a few days later - I was home with our baby and suddenly there were two men in our backyard looking up at our roof! They determined we just needed a bit of roofing caulk, but because it started raining they would come back the next day. That was 2 weeks ago, and there have been a number of nice days between then and now, but today it is raining and we still have a leak. Overall what would have been a wonderful experience has left us with a winter full of leaks despite rushing to repair the roof before winter came.
